This is an unchanged reissue of UNHCR’s Handbook on Procedures and Criteria for Determining Refugee Status under the 1951 Convention and the 1967 Protocol relating to the Status of Refugees. It also includes all of UNHCR’s Guidelines on International Protection released as per April 2019 (GIPs Nos 1-13). Please note that the previous edition of the Handbook (December 2011) has been translated into a number of different languages. The December 2011 edition contains the GIP Nos 1-8.
